ACCULOCK Tactical Scope Rings were designed to be the
next generation in tactical scope
rings.
The ring cap to body channels guaranty that the ring
half’s will perfectly align every time they are
installed.
The rings are machined to have virtually zero gap
between the cap and body when they are
installed.
This increases the strength of the ring, as well as
supporting the cap screws 100%.
ACCULOCK Tactical Scope Rings are modular in
construction, meaning, that they act like one piece of steel
surrounding your expensive optics.
The machining tolerances are kept to within .001of an
inch, insuring that all rings are identical.
Lapping
Instructions
Proper ring
alignment is extremely important. This is a
basic step-by-step procedure. If you are uncomfortable about
lapping your new rings, please contact a reputable gunsmith in your
area and they will be able to properly mount your scope for
you.
1. Set scope mount on
receiver and check for fit on the front and rear mounting positions.
If there are gaps under any part of the mounting surface or if the
base rocks at any point, you may need to bed the base to the
receiver. Check for screw hole
alignment.
2.
With the scope mount properly installed, loosely install the
scope rings front and rear on the scope rail to give some front and
rear movement of the scope for eye relief
adjustment.
3.
Torque the mounting bolts to 65 inch pounds or, finger
tighten bolts and then with a box end wrench, turn 90 degrees (1/4
turn).
4.
Install alignment tools in the scope rings with the tops
installed and check for proper alignment. If the tools align
properly, remove tools and carefully install scope. If they are out
of alignment, remove tools, add a little lapping compound to the
rings and run the lapping tool a few strokes to remove high spots.
Recheck with alignment tools.
5.
Even if the alignment tools align properly, it is a good idea
to run the lapping bar a few strokes to ensure perfect scope
mounting.
Note: Excellent
lapping tools can be purchased from Brownell or
Sinclair.
Recommendations for the
proper height ring.
With the lowest possible scope mounts on the
market, this is a general recommendation on which ring to choose.
These recommendations are with scope caps installed.
